Power Systems Research Centre

Power and energy sector is vital for a country's sustained development. Hence it is important to have an efficient, reliable and an advanced power system. As the Information Technology expands its horizons, power engineering, like other traditional branches of engineering, is finding new tools and methods to solve its problems. In view of this, the Power Systems Research Center (PSRC) was setup in IIIT Hyderabad, with an aim of undertaking research in the areas of IT applications to Power and Energy systems.

PSRC aim is undertaking research in the areas of IT applications to Power and Energy systems. Our vision at PSRC is to become center of excellence in research in Power and Energy systems with particular focus on IT Applications towards getting the solutions to have an Intelligent Power System that supports both conventional as well as renewable energy systems
