Energy Efficient Design of Mobile Wireless Sensor Networks: Constrained ClusteringAuthors: Garimella Ramamurthy Date: 2017-01-05 Report no: IIIT/TR/2017/110 AbstractMobility associated with sensors and/or sink in Wireless Sensor Networks leads to interesting research problems. We consider the paradigm where sensors are static and sink is mobile. Conventionally Hierarchical Routing protocols such as LEACH, HEED were designed without optimizing the location of cluster head. In this research paper, we provide a constrained optimization formulation of the location of centroid by taking into account outlier patterns. The optimization formulation involves Euclidean distance from patterns to the centroid. We solve the constrained optimization problem using the Lagrange multipliers method.
