1)Development of IR learning remote: Energy, in the form of electricity can be mainly conserved in two ways, one being the use of efficient systems in order to reduce consumption and the other being optimized use of equipment that consumes electricity. Surveys shows that, if occupants of corporate and government organizations in India can switch off their Air-Conditioning systems and lighting when space is un-occupied, up to 26% of electricity can be saved. Studies in the field have shown that around 50% of the energy used by each household of firm is for its space conditioning purposes. Hence optimized use of air conditioning systems would result in very good savings. IR based remote has been developed which will turn OFF the AC and lights during un-occupied hours. This system has a rapid payback and gives very good savings in electricity. 2)TATA HONEYWELL PROJECT: The purpose of this project is to design and develop an application layer over this existing software for customized application on site. Real time data access from remote sites on a central location is critical issue for monitoring and evaluating energy consumption of various installations of BMS. The project problem is to study the existing software and understand its present potential and also design and develop an application module as per the requirements of the organization keeping in view the practical constraints that come across while implementation on site. A number of technical leads have been followed and solution presented to the organization along with the working prototypes a proof of technical possibilities along with comprehensive analysis of each possible solution.
