GPUScheduler : User Level Preemptive Scheduling for NVIDIA GPUsAuthors: Shaleen Garg,Kishore Kothapalli,Suresh Purini Conference: 24th IEEE International Conference on High Performance Computing, Data, and Analytics Date: 2017-12-18 Report no: IIIT/TR/2017/43 AbstractIn this paper, we present a novel approach to extend the concepts of time sharing and preemption to GPGPU computational space. Our technique is applicable to any batch GPGPU program written in Compute Unified Device Architec- ture(CUDA) API provided for C/C++ programming languages. It also gives the user freedom to use different scheduling algorithms to schedule the GPGPU programs satisfying specific system level agreements.
