An Improved Secretive Coded Caching Scheme exploiting Common DemandsAuthors: hari.hara ,Chugh Ishani,Prasad Krishnan Conference: 2017 IEEE Information Theory Workshop Date: 2017-11-06 Report no: IIIT/TR/2017/96 AbstractCoded caching schemes on broadcast networks with user caches help to offload traffic from peak times to off-peak times by prefetching information from the server to the user s during off-peak times and thus serving the users more efficie ntly during peak times using coded transmissions. We consider th e problem of secretive coded caching which was proposed recen tly, in which a user should not be able to decode any information about any file that the user has not demanded. We propose a new secretive coded caching scheme which has a lower average rat e compared to the existing state-of-the-art scheme, for the s ame memory available at the users. The proposed scheme is based o n exploiting the presence of common demands between multiple users. Full paper: pdf Centre for Communications |
